What is it?

Well in a nutshell, this experiment partly disproves Einsteins theory of local realism, which states that the world and measurements of constituent particles are not influenced by our observations.

The 1st post (from 2016) was to participate in the experiment.
The 2nd post is a link to a story about the results of the experiment.

Fascinating! It seems improbable that a simple observation can have any impact on anything.

The basis of the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle is that you can't observe something without firing a projectile at it. For example, you view this screen via photons emitted from the screen into your eyes. On an atomic scale, these effects can be large. That's why an observation alters the system observed.
