For those of us that may not be well informed as to the above mentioned anomaly click here so you can read what the topic of this thread pertains to.

To progress further into the depths of the territory of a Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster (PGGB from here on) one must acquaint themselves with their trusty Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.  Within the endless folds of The Guide you may come across a bloke by the name of Zaphod Beeblebrox who had the lucky occurrence to concoct the nigh attainable PGGB.  It is said, in The Guide, that to imbibe a PGGB "is like having your brain smashed out by a slice of lemon wrapped round a large gold brick.", but that is besides the point of you reading this randomly organized pattern of dots that you can so strongly recognize.

The point (dot) is to expound various hypothesizes and eventual experiments in a progressive manner ascertainable for your cognitive capacities.  In short, recipes and reviews of the universally famous PGGB.

The Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster (Original Recipe)
Take the juice from one bottle of that Ol' Janx Spirit.
Pour into it one measure of water from the seas of Santraginus V
Allow three cubes of Arcturan Mega-gin to melt into the mixture (it must be properly iced or the benzene is lost).
Allow four litres of Fallian marsh gas to bubble through it (in memory of all those happy Hikers who have died of pleasure in the Marshes of Fallia).
Over the back of a silver spoon float a measure of Qualactin Hypermint extract, redolent of all the heady odours of the dark Qualactin Zones.
Drop in the tooth of an Algolian Suntiger. Watch it dissolve, spreading the fires of the Algolian suns deep into the heart of the drink.
    Sprinkle Zamphour.
    Add an olive.
    Drink...but very carefully.

Derivative Recipe #1 Review
Initial mixes proved less than desirable.
Latter splits and cuts with prior mixes attain drink of a Bogey +2.
Will attempt different mix with less liqueurs and properly finely crushed ice more than equal to base/mixer volume.
After effects rated for slightly tipsy 'sus scrofa paulus'.
END #1

Derivative Recipe #2
*15ml 95% Clear Grain Alcohol

Generous application of tonic water.
1 drop of Angostura bitters.
*5ml 30% Mint Liqueur
Drizzled Agave Nectar, applied sparingly.

Derivative Recipe #2 Review
Initial mix proved pleasurable for the tongue.
Would consider this as a lite cocktail.
Will work on third derivative shortly for more applied alcoholic characteristics.
After effects are barely mentionable.
Derivative Recipe #2 attains a Bogey.

Drizzled Agave nectar, sparingly applied.

Derivative Recipe #3 Review
Mix #3 sent down after mix #2 failed to come back.
Mix #3 succeeded.
Affects are proving to be lasting past 5 hours with sleep.
Mix #3 became bitter near the end, suggest more tonic water.
Par.

Derivative Recipe #6 Review
No ice this time.
The Everclear was ever so clear, the Bombay Sapphire was quite the same despite its deceptively blue tinted bottle, the Goldschlager followed in similar suit giving off its dangerously pleasing cinnamon aroma like the Algolian Suntiger, then came the ever-so-green Dekuypers Creme de Menthe gliding into the concoction then freezing as if stuck in time with countless evergreen branches sprawling from its minty body, next the Angostura Bitters droplets bombed into the shallow surface of the pond of ecstasy and mimicked the menthe, and finally the Agave Nectar dissolved in a flash unable to withstand the mind altering PGGB. Adding spurts of tonic water to mix the mixture into a crystal clear green tint of bubbly.  Add olives. Would love to share but I'm too busy enjoying it. ;D
Reflection after 5 hours, no serious regrets.
Note: While the first drink wont fulfill the effect of "like having your brain smashed out by a slice of lemon wrapped round a large gold brick.", you can help it reach the medulla oblongata after 2-5 drinks.
A definitive Birdie.

And this concludes my search for the elusive PGGB.  While I hope many find this cocktail ever enjoyable, I do warn of the likelihood lemon twists wrapped around large gold bricks may be hurled at oneself if enjoyed too much.

From personal, rather unpleasant experience (this is what happens when you leave a bottle of water around a bunch of arseholes in a lab), I think i know where you can get the brick feeling after one drink.   Laboratory grade anhydrous ethanol instead of pga.....you may or may not experience the following: Blindess, temporary (or possibly long term) partial paralysis, memory loss, and/or complete loss of self respect.

Laboratory grade anhydrous ethanol, noted.

I'm feeling empty as of late, does anyone have a good idea what a Helio Mist is/is like?  How 'bout you, Hortan? Got any suggestions? ;D
Parent - By Hortan Date 2011-12-29 12:34
I was thinking that a Helio Mists is somewhat like a Single Malt, in the style of Islay. The Heliocene ore that the whiskey is filtered through gives a pleasant, but very powerful, aftertaste, a bit like the iodine from the very peaty malts of that fine island.

If you are in adventurous mode and want to try drinks, I can suggest three:

F'load, which is Verasi algae-vodka (you know, the one that actually tastes slightly like the ocean) and Divinia dark bitter.

Pearldiver: Eo strawberries, Denic demi-vanilla icecream and more of that delicious Verasi vodka.

Crushed Smurf (a popular choice with the Serco): One part "Lady of Night", the dark ale of choice in Sercoland, two parts Verasi vodka, one part Verasi Koffee liquor, one drop of fresh engine oil (40w for those connoisseurs in Sercoland) and pulped blueberryjuice to individual tastes. Rumour has it that ONE members use enough to actually make the drink blue.

Enjoy, have fun, don't become blind.
