I live in New Hampshire.  It's very wet here right now.

I normally commute on this road: http://images.ibsys.com/2006/0514/9213409.jpg

This is the same road later, not sure if it's the same spot:  http://images.ibsys.com/2006/0514/9213431.jpg

FYI, an entire town on my normal alternate route to work was closed to traffic unless you are in an emergency vehicle or the National Guard.  Here's one reason why.  I ended up having to drive southeast for an hour, then north to get to work that is normally 20 miles due east.  On the positive side, once I got there they told me that they were evacuating the building, so I had the rest of the day off.

And if it isn't underwater or destroyed, it pretty much looks like this all over the state: http://images.ibsys.com/2006/0514/9213248.jpg

Man am I glad I don't live in this apartment building.

This is basically across the street from where I work.  The firemen are pumping out the basement.  (This is right next to the Merrimack River.)

A little upstream at the hydro-electric plant, the water is way too high.  Note the tops of trees.

Another good shot of the millyard area where I work.  This was a day before the water was supposed to crest.

Been wondering how you are doing, Screwball.  Let us know if we need to send a rescue moth.

Thankfully, I'm doing fine.  My house is on the side of a hill with a gentle slope, and my basement, which only leaks a tiny bit in the garage, has a gravity-fed drainage system that drains out down the hill in the backyard so I don't have to worry about mudslides or flooding.

Oh, and props to the road crew in the next town.  They fixed this already (well, temporary fix) and I drove to work on that road today.

/me slaps a sticker on the moth "New Hampshire Or Bust".

Heh, you'd probably have to get here through Massachusetts, which also got hit really hard.

Nah, we'd just sweet talk Obsidian into dev warping us to New Hampshire...

do you have the sector code for that?  I don't have a map for that system.
Parent - - By Screwball Date 2006-05-17 01:46
The sector code where I work is 03101.
Parent - By Obsidian Date 2006-05-17 02:55
That's Jallik M-2.  I didn't know you were from there.:)
